Solgar Gotu Kola is a food supplement that provides 100 mg per capsule of standard aerial parts extract of gotu kola. Centella Asiatic has been used for many years in India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and other tropical regions, and recently in Western civilizations. Recent studies indicate that Centella Asiatic extract is rich in Asian acid, madicasic acid and asiaticoside, with great therapeutic value in venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, as evidenced by subjective symptoms and plethysmography. It is also indicated in the case of leg ulcers and cellulite due to its beneficial action on connective tissue metabolism.
